2015 Reading Challenge

Thursday, August 11, 2016

Sharing a tumblr post that I wrote a few months back. I still can't get over how awesome this challenge was. I am unapologetically (if there’s such a word haha) fascinated with history books. Joining the 2015 Reading Challenge gave me many reasons to delve into the past.
This Blinding Absence of Light by Tahar Ben Jelloun is by far, my favorite, from this challenge. It was such a good read. Gripping, indeed. It felt more like a diary than a novel. Thus, I am now interested to travel to Morocco! I also gave ‘Animal Farm’ by George Orwell, 5 out of 5 stars on goodreads. The object of allegory was the Russian Revolution in 1917. But things hadn’t changed from that time up until now (globally).
To be aware, must read good books- read, reread, and read again! Keep in mind that stories are for joining the past to the future. Hence, more books in 2016!!
Bisous! Love, R.
